Mr. Thornhill is an experienced equity investor and manager.  He is currently the Chairman of Mendocino Wine Company (MWC/Parducci), the oldest and largest family-owned winery in Mendocino County California.  MWC has multiple brands (Parducci, SketchBook, Paul Dolan Vineyards) in national and international distribution and is a leader in “green” and sustainable business, wine making and viticulture practices. 

Mr. Thornhill is also a member of the Board of Directors of The California Land Stewardship Institute (CLSI), a non profit organization dedicated to planning   and implementing environmental stewardship, and sustainable restoration and enhancement programs for agricultural properties.  CLSI operates the Fish Friendly Farming Environmental Certification program®, a program for vineyard and other agricultural properties that are managed to restore fish and wildlife habitat and improve water quality.

Mr. Thornhill is also a member of the Board of Directors of Nor1 Corp.  Nor1 offers Up-Selling solutions in a revenue sharing model for the hospitality, airline, rental car and cruise line industries that enabling companies with perishable inventories (such as hotel rooms) to create incremental revenue.

Following 25 plus years associated with investing in the semiconductor industry Mr. Thornhill continues to be involved in Silicon Valley on a consulting basis with clients such as Intel Corporation.

In 2006 Mr. Thornhill retired from the investment banking and financial services business after 25 years in equity research and research management.  Most recently he was a managing director at UBS Securities LLC.  Prior to joining UBS, Mr. Thornhill was Global Director of Research and was also a member of the Equity Division Operating Committee, Equity Commitment Committee (underwriting) and BAS Capital Funding investment committee (late stage private equity) at Banc of America Securities LLC.  Previously he was a partner, director of Technology Research and a member of the Spitfire Capital Fund LP investment committee (late stage private equity) at Montgomery Securities and a senior semiconductor analyst at Lehman Brothers.  In the years Mr. Thornhill served as an equity research analyst he was a member of Institutional Investor’s “All-Star Analyst Team” for twelve years.
