Mr. Pusey is an investment and family office professional following a varied career in public and private company management and in the law. A recovering lawyer, he found his true calling in private investing when he joined JoycePayne Partners as Vice President of Non-Traditional Investments and Family Office Services in the Firm’s office in Richmond, Virginia. There he manages Firm investments, including limited partnerships which pool client and outside investor capital, in private equity, venture capital and hedge funds as well as oil, natural gas, commodities and real estate. He also acts as the Personal Chief Financial Officer to successful families, providing investment, estate, inheritance, tax, insurance and financial planning advice.

Before joining JoycePayne Partners, Mr. Pusey served in several executive management capacities. He was founder and president of business and technology consulting firm EpiGnosis LLC; Senior Vice President of Financial and Risk Management Services at Envera, LLC; Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Value America, Inc. (NASDAQ: VUSA); and Vice President and General Counsel of Home Account Network, Inc. He also practiced international business and corporate law with Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP and Ten State Street LLP in Charleston, South Carolina, and worked in private banking and finance at Citibank and Price Waterhouse in New York City.

Mr. Pusey received his BA in English and History from Duke University, an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business, and a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law. He completed the Private Wealth Management Program at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. And he is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Institute for Private Investors, the Virginia State Bar, and the South Carolina Bar.

Mr. Pusey and his bride raise and educate their four sons and three daughters in horse country outside of Richmond, Virginia. He is a fitness member of SEAL Team PT, competes in marathons and off-road triathlons, and coaches his children’s soccer and basketball teams.
